Week 1's fantasy football quarterback leaders included two names often drafted outside of the top 10 -- and one that wasn't even drafted in many setups.

The position offers almost too many options sometimes, notably in leagues where you only start one quarterback. Picking between streaming names each week can prove overwhelming, and earning trust in a single QB who can perform each week requires more proof at this point.

What does the quarterback fantasy position hold for Week 2? Read on for our rankings.

Who are the best fantasy QBs Week 2?

The top six quarterbacks on most draft rankings once again occupy those same spots at the perch of Week 2 QB ranks, but a DJ and a pair of Justins are creeping up after stellar Week 1 performances.

Daniel Jones turned in a historic performance Sunday in his debut as Indianapolis Colts QB. While the matchup with a laughing-stock Miami Dolphins defense probably helped, the much maligned mobile QB looked comfortable in his career rest and presents intrigue each week moving forward.

Queue up the “Daniel Jones is this year’s Sam Darnold” posts.

-Plus offense.
-Surrounded by skill position talent
-Strong OL
- Mobility

Two year run of reclamation project QBs drafted as QB3s in ADP who finish as Top 12 scorers (Mayfield 2023, Darnold 2024, Jones 2025???)

Meanwhile, Justin Herbert (Chargers, at Raiders) and Justin Fields (Jets vs. Bills) had breakthrough outings in the opening week but face divergently tough opponents, with Herbert getting the early edge in the rankings.

Also, is it safe to trust Aaron Rodgers again? The veteran directed excellent drives with his new Pittsburgh Steelers offense, and the Seattle Seahawks still allowed Brock Purdy to pass downfield successfully in Week 1 even after George Kittle's hamstring injury ended his day.

Rodgers has an alpha in former Seahawks DK Metcalf and could work the middle of the field effectively; AR12 at least has one more work of streaming utility, if not a better case to be on most fantasy rosters.

Could we be looking at an additional trustworthy tier of slingers that will integrate with the big names? If you're streaming quarterbacks, you still have a chance to add them to your rotation with the possibility of them becoming every-week options.

Both offenses overperformed, but both quarterbacks have every-week-starter fantasy upside, especially if Herbert's offensive coordinator Greg Roman allows the Bolts to throw downfield more often.

Who are the best Week 2 sleeper QBs?

  • Count on Jordan Love repeating his Week 1 success as the Green Bay Packers go against the Washington Commanders, whose defense was helped by inept Giants quarterback Russell Wilson in Week 1. Finally healthy, Love didn't have to do much in the Pack's dominant win over the Detroit Lions but should find himself throwing more against Washington.
  • Speaking of the Giants, their pass rush could get to the Dallas Cowboys, but Dak Prescott was a few CeeDee Lamb drops away from having a fantastic day against the defending Super Bowl-champion Philadelphia Eagles. They should be able to reach the second and third levels to conquer the G-Men's beatable secondary.
  • Digging deeper? Drake Maye (NE @ MIA) should rebound by at least using his legs a bit more.
