Baker Mayfield was an afterthought draft pick at quarterback in 2024.
His average draft position at QB was into the 20s after finishing as the QB19 in 2023. Mayfield turned into a terrific value, however, breaking out in a big way, tied with Joe Burrow as the average QB3 overall last season.
Although that's a rare massive jump, Mayfield's case is a reminder there are always great QB fantasy football draft values to have across the board, even late.
Whether in you're in a one-quarterback league looking to wait as long as possible to find a streaming combination or a 2QB/superflex hoping for a hot sleeper second starter, here's the list of our best targets beyond QB15 with a average draft position after No. 120 overall on FantasyPros.

Fantasy's best late-round breakout QB candidates 2025
Trevor Lawrence, Jacksonville Jaguars (QB18 | Overall ADP: 158)
Liam Coen was the offensive coordinator who helped Mayfield had his career season to date as a No. 1 overall pick.
Now he'll try to do the same for another No. 1 overall pick as Jacksonville's head coach. Brian Thomas Jr. and Travis Hunter can form a great 1-2 punch at wide receiver, while No. 3 Dyami Brown and tight end Brenton Strange will be maximized under Coen.
The supportive scheme and personnel haven't been this good for Lawrence since he entered the league in 2021. Now it just comes down to Lawrence executing.
He's leaning toward boom rather than bust.

J.J. McCarthy, Minnesota Vikings (QB20 | Overall ADP: 130)
Kevin O'Connell's system simply produces top fantasy QBs.
In the past, they've been seasoned veterans Matthew Stafford, Kirk Cousins and Sam Darnold.
McCarthy is an essential rookie, unproven after his lost last season. But he has the arm, athleticism and overall skill set to thrive, especially when he can throw to Justin Jefferson, T.J. Hockenson, and Jordan Addison (soon).
Caleb Williams and Drake Maye have gotten more Year 2 buzz, but don't sleep on McCarthy being a better steal in relation to draft cost.
2025 DRAFT SLEEPERS: QB | RB | WR | TE | DST | Deep Sleepers | 1 From Each Team
Bryce Young, Carolina Panthers (QB22 | Overall ADP: 166)
Young was the QB5 in average scoring over the final four games of his second season, his first under Dave Canales.
Before Coen, Canales set up a foundation for Mayfield's rise with the Buccaneers.
Before Tampa Bay, Canales helped coach Geno Smith to a top-12 fantasy season in Seattle.
The No. 1 overall NFL Draft pick from 2023 started to put it all together as a passer, leader and occasional runner late in '24.
That momentum can carry into '25, now with rookie go-to wide receiver Tetairoa McMillan. Young should finish several spots ahead of this rank.
EXPLOIT LEAGUE APPS: Yahoo, ESPN rankings can reveal sleepers, busts
Michael Penix Jr., Atlanta Falcons (QB23 | Overall ADP: 161)
File Penix under Maye, Williams, and McCarthy's folder in their delayed rise to fantasy relevance to join their draft class rookie breakouts Jayden Daniels and Bo Nix.
Penix is more of a later dart throw, given his greenness and not offering much running production in relation to the others.
But with Drake London as his No. 1 and decent overall weaponry, he's a pocket-passing streamer to watch.
WARNING: Avoid these fantasy draft busts
Daniel Jones, Indianapolis Colts (QB29 | Overall ADP: 257)
If Jaxson Dart were starting for the Giants right away, he would be the call here.
But for more immediate production, turn to the former Giants starter. who was QB11 on average during his last healthy full season with them in 2022. Mashing up the total production of Anthony Richardson and Joe Flacco last season, they would have been the average QB14.
Jones won't run like Richardson but he has proved his legs can be a significant. Tyler Warren and Michael Pittman Jr. are his type of inside/intermediate targets in Shane Steichen's offense. He'll be a sneaky streamer in the right spots.
