2019 College Fantasy Football TE Rankings

A great college fantasy tight end can can really help make up for drafting a bust at wide receiver or running back. For instance, a tight end that averages what a WR2 would put up in fantasy points provides a major advantage over competitors. Not many of these players exist in the college game so finding the top-tier ones should be a major priority during draft day, especially in PPR leagues The top two TEs from last season averaged 15.5 fantasy points per game (FPPG), so this is definitely a set of rankings you want to prioritize on your cheat sheet. 

Stanford is known for producing fantasy stars at the TE position, and Colby Parkinson will get the initial crack at the top spot in our preseason rankings. Parkinson averaged 9.4 FPPG last season, and with the departure of some key offensive players, he could be poised to be a leader of the Cardinal offensive unit this season. Missouri's Albert Okwuegbunam checks in at No. 2 after averaging 13.3 FPPG in 2018.

Both the top two are poised for big seasons and look to lead a talented group of fantasy tight ends. While there are a number of guys that you expect to play major roles, you might be better served finding a depth-chart riser or a productive true freshman. Last year, three freshman made a name for themselves in Jake Ferguson, Pat Freiermuth and Brevin Jordan. All moved up their teams' respective depth charts quickly and averaged at least eight FPPG in 2018, and they have an inside track at finishing in the top 10 among college fantasy tight ends this season.
