Swifties are going to have to wait a while to see Taylor Swift on stage.
In a conversation with the BBC, Swift praised her fans for supporting her during her record-breaking Eras Tour that concluded in December 2024.
"For me it feels like such an honor that the fans made it into what it was, because it was truly astonishing for all of us who were on that tour. We were like, 'What is going on?' It turned into something very quickly that we, that exceeded any of our expectations for what the tour could have been," said Swift.
"I knew it was crazy what was happening. We have never had anything happen like that. I've been with my band for a very long time. My tour, my crew, my touring family, my team...we're all very close and have been forever, and none of us have ever had anything like that happen," Swift continued.
Swift's tour was a cultural phenomenon as she traveled across the nation as well as global tour stops in London, Paris, Rio de Janeiro, and more. It is officially the highest-grossing tour of all time with over $2 billion in ticket sales. The singer followed up her tour with a concert film Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour that also made history as the highest-grossing concert film of all time globally and domestically.
Will Taylor Swift tour again soon?
The success of the Eras Tour has fans itching for more and rightfully so, but Swift got candid on why fans will have to wait to see her again in that capacity.
"I'm gonna be really honest with you. Like, I am so tired when I think about doing it again because I would want to do it really, really well again," she said, adding that she is "so good right now."
The singer has been open about the wear and tear the tour had on her body as she battled the "stomach flu, aching feet, or blisters" during the nearly 150 shows, per Business Insider. She added that she had go through "a lot of physical therapy" but tells fans now that her "joints are good."
She is also loving her life after touring, as she recently got engaged to Travis Kelce and is taking on more hobbies now that she has more time.
"I could only do the Eras Tour when I was on the Eras Tour, and that's two years of having no other hobbies. And now I have the hobbies again...and making it everybody's problem," she said, referring to the infamous sourdough she has been making.
