Simone Biles is giving fans hope for the 2028 Olympics.
After an outstanding performance at the 2024 Paris Olympics winning four medals -- three gold and one silver -- the most-decorated gymanst shared a hint that she is not yet stepping away from the mat. In a conversation with People, Biles shared a hint about the upcoming Olympics.
"Everyone likes to talk about L.A. and what that road looks like for me," Biles said. "So, currently, I am taking some time off from the gym because I think it's really important that your physical health matches your mental health."
She explained that it was the reason why Paris went so well for her as she now totals 11 Olympic medals -- the most of any other gymnast to grace the mat.
“That’s why you saw so much of my success in Paris, because the mental and the physical were right on par," she said, adding, "They were right on track with each other, so I think that’s really, really important.”
Biles has been open about her mental health in the past so it makes sense that she is prioritizing it before she attempts to make another Olympic run.
While it seems promising that Biles could return, she clarified that it is not an admission to her coming back for the 2028 Olympics.
"I just don’t know right now if it’s on the floor or in the stands," Biles clarified. "But I definitely want to go and be a part of that movement,” she said.

Prior to this hint at a return to the Olympic stage, back in January, Biles said that she didn't want to seem "greedy" by competing in the next Olympics.
“Because I’ve accomplished so much, there’s almost nothing left to do, rather than to just be snobby and to try again and for what?” she said at the time to People.
The 2028 Olympics will take place in Los Angeles from Fri, Jul 14, 2028 – Sun, Jul 30, 2028.
