Shaboozey says he thinks the NFL made the right choice in selecting Bad Bunny as the Super Bowl 60 Halftime Show performer.
While speaking to "Billboard" over the weekend, the "Bar Song (Tipsy)" singer said he thinks it's "really cool" that the Puerto Rican-born singer will get his chance to rule the stage during one of the most watched musical performances worldwide, which will be held in Santa Clara in February 2026.
"I think Bad Bunny’s awesome. I think he’s a global superstar, global icon — and an American citizen. There’s no better choice," Shaboozey told the outlet. "Any time a Bad Bunny song comes on, the whole place erupts.”
Shaboozey isn't the first singer to offer public support for Bad Bunny. Last week, Jennifer Lopez offered her own support to the singer while speaking to "CBS Mornings" about her upcoming film "Kiss of the Spider Woman."
"I think it's wonderful people will get exposed to him who don't know him," Lopez told host Gayle King. "Just give it a chance!"
"Music and art transcends language, and he's done that probably more than anybody of any generation, he really has," Lopez added.

While Bad Bunny is getting some support for his upcoming gig, he's also received a fair share of detractors.
One fan even started a petition to replace him with a performance by country singer George Strait. As of this writing, it currently has over 25,000 signatures.
Bad Bunny, born Benito Antonio Martinez Ocasio, is a three-time Grammy award winner.
Super Bowl LIX will be held at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara on Sunday, Feb. 8, 2026.
