Sex toys being thrown on athletic fields were not on the 2025 bingo card. At the Minnesota Vikings and Tennessee Titans game on Friday (Aug. 22), a sex toy was thrown onto the field.

The incident was caught on a fan video, which later began circulating across several social media platforms. In the video, a fan shows what looks to be a green dildo thrown onto the field. It happened during the fourth quarter of the game before the Titans won 23-13 over the Vikings.

According to ESPN, the Titans have "captured images of those responsible and reported the incident to the Metro Nashville Police Department."

WNBA games disrupted by sex toy incidents

Throwing of sex toys has unfortunately resulted in several games over the 2025 WNBA season.

It has since resulted in three arrests, with the most recent on Wednesday when New York police arrested Charles Burgess, 32, of Dayton, Ohio. He has since been charged with two counts of assault in connection with the incident, according to NBC News. The incident happened at a New York Liberty-Dallas Wings game at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, and a 12-year-old girl was hit in the leg.

"The NYPD labeled a dildo as a dangerous weapon," said the individual, who was granted anonymity to speak freely. "If they are trying to make a statement, we will be working with some of the top lawyers in the country to ensure that our people are treated fairly."

Similar incidents have occurred in Phoenix, Chicago , and Los Angeles. Two men have been arrested in connection with incidents in Georgia and Phoenix, according to the outlet.

A cryptocurrency group has taken responsibility for some of the WNBA incidents as they promote a “green dildo coin” token.

The WNBA released a statemetn and warned fans of the penalty of throwing sex toys or any objects onto the court.

“The safety and well-being of everyone in our arenas is a top priority for our league. Objects of any kind thrown onto the court or in the seating area can pose a safety risk for players, game officials, and fans,” the league said in a statement per ESPN. “In line with WNBA Arena Security Standards, any fan who intentionally throws an object onto the court will be immediately ejected and face a minimum one-year ban in addition to being subject to arrest and prosecution by local authorities.”
