Randy Moss has just achieved a major milestone in his fight against cancer. The NFL Hall of Famer got to ring the bell after completing a grueling series of chemotherapy and radiation treatments.
In a video shared to Instagram on Thursday, September 4, Moss had a huge grin on his face as he proudly rang the bell at Levine Cancer Institute in Charlotte, North Carolina, wearing a grey sweatshirt and matching beanie.
The hospital system treating the NFL star, Atrium Health, captioned the post, "Let's Moss cancer - and he did just that!"
"Throughout a journey filled with challenges, Randy met each moment with the same grit and determination that defined his legendary career," the post continued.
Moss included his own comments in the caption, writing, “I want to thank everybody at this hospital for welcoming me to be a part of their family. Y’all do a great job of taking care of people. I thank you all. God bless you.”

The retired NFL wide receiver, 48, has been fighting hard in his battle against cancer. He was diagnosed with Stage 2 bile-duct cancer in 2023 and underwent a six-hour procedure to remove part of his organs after the diagnosis.
Earlier this week, Moss shared more about his grueling journey, telling "Good Morning America," he was nervous when his doctor mentioned the "C word" after he began experiencing extremely dark urine and jaundice in his eyes.
"When you live your life you know a certain type of way of eating right, taking care of your health and all of a sudden you get diagnosed with cancer it's kind of like I was overwhelmed you know like just hit with a ton of bricks," he said. “My brother died at 48. I always prayed, God, just give me 50."
Luckily, he got his wish, as his cancer is officially in remission.
One light through Moss's tough experience has been the ability to share his experience with his longtime friend, Colorado Buffaloes head coach and NFL Hall of Famer, Deion Sanders, who's fighting his own battle against bladder cancer.
“I could finally be there for somebody, after what I’d been going through," he said. "He called me and the first thing he said is 'I need you.'"
The NFL player didn't hesitate stepping up to the plate to support his longtime friend.
Moss said he hopes opening up about his experience will encourage other men to get checked before it's too late.
On a lighter note, the Rand, West Virginia native is prepping for his big return to NFL Sunday Countdown this week.
