NFL rookie Ashton Jeanty is going viral for the wrong reasons.
Earlier this week, rumors started circulating that the Las Vegas Raiders running back was looking to buy a sprawling $12.5 mansion in Las Vegas.
The 21-year-old Boise State alum unarguably has the dough to purchase a new pad, as he signed a four-year deal worth $34.9 million, including a stunning signing bonus, earlier this year.
However, reports that the NFL rookie is actually purchasing $12.5 million mansion right now is completely false.
How the Ashton Jeanty drama started
The drama all started when Jeanty was featured in a house hunting video with the outlet "Overtime SZN" looking at homes.
At the beginning of the video, the highly-rated runningback is seen meeting with a realtor to tour a new construction 9,000-square-foot home with an 18 car garage listed for $15.5 million.
The stunning home featured a chef's kitchen, game room, and pool, all of which Jeanty seemed to appreicate.
Jeanty then toured a $2.6 million penthouse condo featuring a 2,000 square-foot master bedroom, which had views of the Sphere and Vegas strip.
The video quickly went viral, with several social media influencers insinuating that Jeanty was getting ready to pick up a $12.5 million mansion.
However, people seemed to ignore the end of the video, where Jeanty admitted that he couldn't afford any of the homes right now.
Ashton Jeanty clears the air on rumored Las Vegas mansion
"I've always dreamed about playing in the (National Football) League," Jeanty said. "You know, buying a big house. To be here, looking around and touring them, it gives me all the more motivation. Now, I don't know if these are in my price range right now, but one day, potentially, I could be here."
Clearly taking the fiscally responsible route, the NFL rookie isn't trying to purchase a massive pad - for now at least.

The 2025 NFL season hasn't even kicked off yet, and Jeanty is already predicted to do big things in his first year in the league.
Football critics are already suggesting that the Boise State alum will be a productive player for Pete Carroll's squad on day one, with some even predicting that he'll win AP Offensive Rookie of the Year in 2025.
