Stefon Diggs is making headlines with his new furniture line, and not everyone is thrilled about it.
On Wednesday, Dec. 10, PETA blasted the New England Patriots wide receiver for using real animal fur in his new Si Vis Pacem collection.
PETA made it clear that they're not happy with the NFL star's decision to use real fur in his latest business venture after Diggs gave fans a sneak peek of the capsule collection at Design Miami during Art Basel this week.
In an exclusive statement, PETA's Senior Vice President, Lisa Lange, told AllSportsPeople that Diggs should be aware of the cruelty and pain these animals face prior to their fur being taken.
"Is Stefon Diggs the only person alive who doesn't understand that, whether they're killed for clothing or a hideous piece of wall decor, the agony is the same for the terrified coyotes whose limbs are mangled in steel-jaw traps - especially the mothers who know their babies will starve to death without them," Lange said.
"These family-oriented Song Dogs can suffer for days before the hunter returns to shoot or bludgeon them to death and peel the skin from their bodies, so PETA urges Diggs to stick to football and use faux fur for his next arts-and-crafts project," she continued.

Diggs didn't think PETA would object since the fur wasn't being worn
Diggs' Si Vis Pacem collection, which includes an upscale futon-style sofa, oversized fur-covered mirrors, H-shaped chairs and more, is set to debut in 2026.
In a video shared to YouTube on Tuesday, Dec. 9, Diggs said he didn't see any harm in using real fur in his latest venture, as he wasn't wearing it on his body.
Diggs said he's "big on texture," which is why he "went with coyote" fur as an accent on one of his pieces.
After being asked why he chose coyote fur specifically, Diggs said, "I had some options. I could've went with faux fur, but you know I wasn't wearing it, so I felt like PETA wouldn't have too much of a problem."
That obviously backfired.
Si Vis Pacem was inspired by the mantra "If you want peace, prepare for war," which Diggs says he feels embodies his own life.
According to "Vogue," the Patriots star says he designed the line as he "wanted to create functional art pieces, objects and furniture that contribute to a feeling of peace at home."
“Si Vis Pacem is really a direct reflection of that desire. I feel the most at peace when I’m in a space I created—and I wanted to share that with the world," he said. "I would love for people to feel welcomed by my work. Similar to coming home, to a warm environment where you can ground yourself and prepare for what’s to come.”
