Molly Qerim was certainly hyped this morning on ESPN's 'First Take' Monday morning after her alma mater brought home the national championship.

For those who don't know, Qerim is actually a Connecticut native, having grown up in Cheshire. After graduating Cheshire High School, Qerim then attended the University of Connecticut, where she obtained a Bachelor of Arts in communications and a minor in business administration. After getting her bachelors, Qerim then received a master's degree from Quinnipiac University (which is located in Hamden, Connecticut) in broadcast journalism.

So, yeah, not only is Qerim a Connecticut girlie through and through, she's also a UConn alum, very well giving her the right to bust into a full on-air celebration, which she did as soon as she got the chance. "Forget the Lakers," she said while wearing a UConn-decorated tank, continuing: "Stop me if you've heard this before America, the UConn Huskies are national champions...pure domination," she playfully added before teasing co-host Shannon Sharpe.

Qerim isn't kidding when she said it was a dominant performance from the Huskies, who beat the South Carolina Gamecocks (who also had a strong year overcoming obstacles) 82-59, which helped them notch their record 12th championship.

Congratulations to Molly and all the other UConn fans that are riding high today.
