Kendall Jenner is poking fun at her athlete ex-boyfriends and the "Kardashian Curse" in a new Super Bowl ad.
The "Keeping up with the Kardashians" star has been romantically connected to several professional athletes, including Devin Booker, Kyle Kuzma, Blake Griffin, D'Angelo Russell, Chandler Parsons, Jordan Clarkson, and Ben Simmons. During a Season 3 episode of the family's Hulu reality show, Kendall's sister, Kim Kardashian, wore a "Kendall's Starting Five" shirt embellished with selfies of some of the NBA players Kendall has dated, showing she isn't the only one in the family who has a thing for athletes.
Kim has been linked to several NFL players, including Tom Brady, Reggie Bush, and Odell Beckham Jr., while her sister, Khloe Kardashian, was previously married to former NBA star Lamar Odom and shares two children with her ex, Tristan Thompson.
Kendall, 30, is now addressing the "Kardashian curse," the theory that NBA players who date her later become bad at their sport, in a new Fanatics ad.
“Haven’t you heard? The internet says I’m cursed,” the supermodel says in the ad, which premiered online Tuesday, January 27. “Any basketball player who dates me kinda hits a rough patch.”
Kendall then suggests that her wealth comes from sports betting - not men.
“How else do you think I can afford all this? Modeling?” She said confidently, while walking down a staircase lined with paintings of herself alongside unidentified basketball players.
“This pool? Basketball Boyfriend 1 missed the playoffs. I guess nobody was getting a ring in this house,” she continued, while floating in a raft. "Do you like this bad boy? Boyfriend 2 flopped right out of the league. Not that I ever drive,” she jokes.
Near the end of the ad, Kris Jenner's daughter climbs into a private jet and says she's ready "to bet on something new - football players."
She then laughs as she prepares to fly to the Super Bowl.
