Jordon Hudson is refuting Pablo Torre's prior account, which alleged she misrepresented her birth year, claiming she was born in 2000 instead of 2001.
Hudson, presently in a relationship with UNC football coach Bill Belichick, is refuting assertions that she was purportedly born in 2000 instead of 2001, a detail Torre stated she obtained from a UNC document in May. The ex-college cheerleader posted on X that the former ESPN reporter's account was “one of MANY inaccurate and materially defamatory reports about me by Pablo Torre.”
She added that she “did not fill out any UNC internal documents or forms pertaining to the family directory” in her Nov. 23 post on X.
In addition to her X post, she included two images to substantiate her assertion. The initial image shows a staff member inquiring about Hudson's birthdate, to which she responded, "April 3rd." Her birth year was not specified within this particular screenshot.
In the second screenshot, a staff member at UNC admitted to "guessing" her birth year and "put 2000" instead of her correct birth year. The staffer admitted that she “noticed that wasn’t right" and would "update" the directory.
In the May report, a listener contacted Torre after the episode aired, inquiring if there might have been a mistake in recording Hudson's age.
"New pod listener and very much enjoying it. I doubt it was an 'accident' but wanted to add a possible honest error. If using her phone the year was probably a scroll wheel, and 00-01 are obviously next to each other?" The fan asked.
Torre responded to the fan that his theory wouldn't have applied to this situation, "To clarify: this was not an online form with preset or scrollable options. This was the sort of thing where you type the information yourself and send it in."
Bill Belichick responds to Jordon Hudson's lawsuit against Pablo Torre
Hudson's reply to Torre's report from May, which raised questions about her age, comes after she announced her intention to take legal action against him. While she hasn't detailed the reasons for suing the sports writer, her announcement has reached Belichick being questioned about it.
“I know you can’t control what people write about you or say about you or talk about,” a reporter told Belichick during a press conference on Wednesday, November 26. “But right before the Duke game, there was a big story in the New York Post. And right before this game, there was a story with Jordon Hudson possibly filing a lawsuit against Pablo [Torre]. How much do those distractions seep down into the team, and how much time do they take from what you’re trying to accomplish? Is there a way, in your mind, to try to eliminate some of that drama?"
Although Belichick was informed of the circumstances, he doesn't appear to have significant influence over his girlfriend's legal affairs.
“Yeah, I’m just focused on the game,” the eight-time Super Bowl-winning coach responded. “That’s what our team’s focused on, so…”
UNC football's next game is tonight at 7:30 pm EST against the NC State Wolfpack.
