JJ McCarthy's fiancee Katya shares baby Rome's adorable game-day fit after Lions win image

Minnesota Vikings quarterback J.J. McCarthy's biggest fan was watching when he returned to the field over the weekend.

On Sunday, the Michigan alum threw a pair of touchdowns, sealing the Vikings 27-24 win over the Detroit Lions on the road, and his newborn son Rome was taking it all in as his number one fan, according to McCarthy's fiancee, Katya Kuropas.

After being sidelined for five games with an ankle sprain suffered in Week 2, McCarthy made a strong comeback, throwing for 143 yards and two touchdown passes to help the Vikings upset the Lions and improve to 4-4 on the season.

After the NFL star's fiery comeback, Katya shared a victory post featuring little Rome on her Instagram Stories

"Dada's #1 fan," she captioned the post, alongside a photo of the newborn rocking a two-piece football-themed outfit.

McCarthy, fiancee Katya welcome baby Rome

McCarthy and his fiancee, Kaya, announced the birth of their first child on September 1.

In a joint post shared to Instagram, the couple announced that little Rome Micah weighed 8.7 pounds and was 21 inches when he arrived.

The post read, "Welcome to the world Rome Micah McCarthy ✨The sweetest, most perfect gift from God!! We are so unbelievably blessed to be your parents💙."

The couple have known each other since their high school days in Illinois, and McCarthy proposed to Katya after leading Michigan to the 2024 NCAA championship.

They announced in May that they were expecting their first child together.

McCarthy was the No. 10 overall pick in the 2024 draft but missed his entire rookie season while recovering from a torn meniscus on his right knee.
