Jake Paul's wild Anthony Joshua fight prep has included hanging a dead alligator by its neck in a garage.

The YouTube sensation turned pro boxer will take on Joshua in a televised match on Netflix on Friday, Dec. 19.

Last year, Paul, 28, turned heads when he beat Mike Tyson while wearing a $1 million pair of shorts. This year, he's taking things even further, paying homage to the late Hulk Hogan with a custom fight look made from a 12-foot alligator.

On Wednesday, Dec. 17, Paul showed the alligator prior to his skin being shredded to create his outfit.

"America vs UK this Friday. I got us. Boston tea party part 2. Alligator killed and turned into fight trunks✅ Hulk Hogan✅monster truck✅giant flag✅ the American dream✅," he captioned the post

In one photo, Paul is standing in a garage wearing camo shorts and a white T-shirt as he looks at a dead gator hung up by its throat in a garage. Another snap showed Paul holding the dead gator over his shoulders with what appeared to be blood visible on the floor in an animal meat processing facility.

It didn't take long for fans to react, with several slamming Paul over the controversial post.

"No need to kill that alligator," one person commented.

"RIP Gator. 🐊 😢," a second person wrote.

"Animal cruelty," someone else wrote.

"Animal abuse!!!" Another added.

PETA reacts to Jake Paul's alligator trunks

After Paul's outfit plans for Friday's fight went viral, PETA, also known as the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals, had something to say about his controversial fashion choice.

In an exclusive statement to AllSportsPeople, PETA founder Ingrid Newkirk said, "Alligator mothers are like human mothers; protective and unlike Jake Paul who demonstrates a total lack of respect for these smart, highly social animals, they are simply trying to eke out an existence away from human interference.

"Puffing himself up to pose with a slain alligator makes Paul look small, seeking attention at the cost of a wild animal's life," she continued. "PETA urges him to work out his issues in the boxing ring with willing opponents - or in a therapist's office instead."

Win or lose, the stakes are high for both fighters.
