New York Giants rookie Cam Skattebo isn't letting a leg injury stop him from getting into the holiday spirit early this year.
The NFL RB suffered a season-ending right ankle injury in a Week 8 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles and is currently recovering in a soft cast. He underwent surgery on Oct. 26, hours after the injury, to repair a dislocated ankle, fibula fracture, and ruptured deltoid ligament.
Despite the setback, Skattebo is getting into the holiday spirit way ahead of schedule.
On Thursday, the Giants rookie's girlfriend, Chloe Rodriguez, shared a festive photo of him decorating a Christmas Tree with a large cast visible on his leg on social media.
"Too soon?" Rodriguez captioned the post on her Instagram Stories, alongside a Christmas tree emoji.
In the festive photo, Skattebo and Rodriguez, who he's been dating since his time at Arizona State, had stockings hanging from their fireplace mantle and two side-by-side Christmas trees already decorated.

Cowboys tight end Jake Ferguson is also getting into the Christmas spirit early
Skattebo isn't the only athlete getting into the holiday cheer early in 2025.
Dallas Cowboys tight end Jake Ferguson also has his Christmas decor up weeks before Thanksgiving.
Earlier this month, Ferguson's fiancee, Haley Cavinder, flexed the couple's Christmas decorations when she showed off her Week 9 Monday Night Football fit on social media.
While she might've intended to show off the No. 8 embroidered on her jeans paired with her stomach-bearing crop top, fans couldn't help but notice a large strand of Christmas garland strung across her stair rail and fireplace mantle.
One fan commented, "Need to know where the garland is from sis," adding, "it looks so good."
Cavinder didn't shy away from the eagle-eyed fan.
She replied, "Doing a holiday decor vlog soon!!"
