Did Sophie Cunningham throw shade at Angel Reese over Victoria's Secret Fashion Show moment? image

Angel Reese made history as the first professional athlete to walk during the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show, and while the feat was iconic, some fans believed that fellow WNBA star Sophie Cunningham threw some shade towards Reese.

The Indiana Fever star shared that she will be changing her diet due to stomach issues, and while she was describing things that she could no longer eat, she jokingly mentioned the Chicago Sky star.

"A huge one I forgot to mention is gluten, which is in pretty much every carb possible," she said. "And I know they make gluten-free stuff, but that s*** tastes weird to me. I can still eat chicken, that's good. Yeah, I feel like I'm kinda gonna be turning into a rabbit."

"I don't know, I guess I'm gonna turn into a Victoria's Secret model. Call me Angel Reese," Cunningham said online. 

Additionally, on her podcast, Show Me Something,  she mentioned that she wanted to call her agents to make sure she is in the next Victoria's Secret, as it's been her dream too. 

"Angel walked in it, and she killed it. Like, absolutely killed it."

She then added, "I texted my agents right away, and I was like, 'Please'.  This has been a dream of mine since like second grade. I have always wanted to be a Victoria's Secret angel. Like, oh, god... I think it would be so fun to walk in that fashion show. But Angel really did kill it. She looked stunning, she looked beautiful."

Did Angel Reese throw shade back at Sophie Cunningham?

Fans took her "calling her agents" as a nod to Reese not putting in the hard work to get noticed. Reese seemingly threw back some shade as she promoted her new podcast episode.

"Since everybody wants to be apart, let me take you behind the scenes So excited to share my further relationship & the long-term contract I have with VS," Reese wrote.

It's too early to tell who will be in the next Victoria's Secret Fashion Show, but just as Cunningham shared that it was her dream since elementary school, Reese explained how she manifested her moment. 

“I manifested this moment,” Reese told E! News prior to the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show. “I posted it on my Story last year that I was going to be a Victoria's Secret model and it literally happened less than a year later.”

“I’m just really happy to know that when I speak with my tongue, I know things are going to happen,” she continued. “Not at the time that I want all the time, but at God’s time and this is my moment and this is my time and I’m gonna embrace it.”
