Jada Paul (née Crawley) is proud of her husband, Chris Paul.
Chris shocked the sports world on Saturday, Nov. 22, when he announced that he would be retiring after 21 years in the NBA.
“What a ride,” Chris wrote on X alongside a montage of his 21-year NBA career. “Still so much left…GRATEFUL for this last one!!”

Over the course of Chris's career, he is a 12-time NBA All-Star, 2013 NBA All-Star Game MVP, and is the NBA's all-time leader in assists and steals with five assists and six steals titles, to name a few of his accomplishments. Throughout his career, he played for the New Orleans Hornets (2005–2011), Los Angeles Clippers (2011–2017, 2025–present), Houston Rockets (2017–2019), Oklahoma City Thunder (2019–2020), Phoenix Suns (2020–2023), and San Antonio Spurs (2024–2025).
How did Jada Paul react to the news?
Chris married Jada Paul in 2011, and they share one son together: Christopher Emmanuel Paul II. After the news broke, Jada shared how proud she was of her husband.
“Helluva career! Helluva ride! So proud of you,” Jada posted via her Instagram Story on Nov. 22.
This is not the first time that Jada has publicly supported her husband, as they moved from San Antonio to Los Angeles when the Warriors released him in 2024. He signed a one-year, $11 million deal with the Spurs and then went to the Clippers in free agency for the 2025-2026 season. Chris previously played for the Clippers from 2011-2017.
When Chris decided to move to San Antonio to play for the Spurs, Jada supported him wholeheartedly.
“I’m going to support him until the wheels fall off,” Jada said in an interview with Andscape at the time. “The past years have been hard. But the past two years have been harder than the previous three. He just hates being away from the kids, missing their games and not doing things in real time. This past [season] I traveled a lot more than in [seasons] prior."
Chris's reasoning behind the move to San Antonio was to be close to his family.
“He was beating himself up about [being away]. And I told him, ‘This contract [with the Spurs] is not going to change our lives. Be aware that you’re making a choice. You are choosing to do this.’ But I didn’t want him to quit before it’s finished and be resentful later," Jada continued.
"We’ll see [about the future], but having him home definitely makes it easier."
As Chris will soon navigate a new chapter post-retirement, Jada will be there right by his side.
The Clippers' next game will be on Sunday, Nov. 23, against the Cleveland Cavaliers.
