Converse has officially launched the highly anticipated SHAI 001 “BUTTER,” the debut signature shoe from NBA Champion, MVP, and Converse Basketball Creative Director, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, and it didn't take long for basketball fans to snatch up.

Born from Shai’s vision and realized through close collaboration with Converse and Nike, Inc., the silhouette is sculptural yet functional, expressive yet engineered, and built to move the way Shai does: fluid, precise and fearless. Every detail was shaped by Shai’s vision and refined through tireless iteration, resulting in a shoe that’s as precise as his game and as fearless as his style.

The SHAI 001 debuted as a limited global release on Converse.com, the Nike SNKRS App, and select retail partners, and is classified as performance basketball footwear. The launch is also being celebrated with an exclusive KITH Toronto consumer activation, where local fans experience the SHAI 001 firsthand, participate in a raffle, indulge in special KITH Treats and catch Shai making a surprise appearance to meet the community on his home turf.

As for that restock for those who didn't get an opportunity to snag...we'll have to wait and see what move Converse SGA makes next. The only thing we have for now, however, is message on the website that says "Quantities were limited and we just sold out! Sign up for alerts to hear about future product drops."

Welp, guess that's all we can do for now. In the meantime, congrats to SGA on a successful debut.
