LaMelo Ball and Puma are dropping the first-ever MB.04, and it just might be one of the best shoes for spring.
In case you were wondering, 'Alien Skin' is the next release lined up in the LaMelo Ball x Puma collection, and it's pretty special one because it is the first colorway of the MB.04 Lo, and it features a new tongue and heel design covered in an extraterrestrial upper. Inspired by Ball's otherworldly style of play, the MB.04 Alien Skin’s unique design is wrapped in a blue and red alien texture with the Melo wing logo wrapped around the heel.
Aside from the alien-like texture, the shoe also features a supportive double-layered mesh upper and the brand's NITROFOAM™ cushioning for on-court power. Plus, it has tech points that include an engineered mesh upper with multi-zoned materials for targeted support, breathability and comfort. Oh, and there's also an external heel cap with Melo’s Wings logo, an outsole designed with a hovering spaceship and Melo’s signature "NOT FROM HERE" and "RARE" catchphrases.

This follows the release of the updated LaFrancé silhouette that dropped in March. That release included two brand new colorways: Written in Chrome and Black Written in Chrome. A bold fusion of Ball's signature otherworldly style and extreme Y2K aesthetics, the shoes are an exaggerated street-ready silhouette intent on delivering a futuristic edge through sleek silver accents, chrome details and LaFrancé branded laces.
When does the LaMelo Ball x Puma MB.04 Alien release?
The LaMelo Ball x Puma MB.04 drops on April 18 , and will be available in Men’s ($115) and Junior’s ($105) sizing at PUMA.com, PUMA mobile app, the PUMA NYC Flagship stores, and Footlocker.
