Venus Williams will soon be a married woman.
The tennis pro was spotted in Italy wearing a sun hat with all-cap letters patches that spell out "SIG.RA PRETI." It translates to "Mrs. Preti in reference to her fiancé, Andrea Preti.
Venus was also wearing a white dress and black tennis shoes as she rode in a golf cart. Guests who surrounded the golf cart also wore"Team Groom" and "Team Bride" T-shirts.
It's unclear how long Venus and Preti were dating, but they have been fueling romance rumors since July 2024. In February 2025, they began fueling engagement rumors when the tennis star was photographed with a ring on her left hand. The seven-time Grand Slam champion put the rumors to bed when she confirmed she was engaged to Preti following a match last month.
Rennae Stubbs asked, "You are now an engaged woman. So, how has Andrea helped you in this comeback? You’re happy, a smile on your face. I mean, how much has he made a difference in your life?"
"My fiancé is here and he really encouraged me to keep playing," Williams replied."There were so many times where I just wanted to coast and kind of chill," she continued. "Do you know how hard it is to play tennis? You guys don’t know how much work goes into this, like it’s 9 to 5 except you’re running the whole time. Lifting weights and just like dying and then you repeat it the next day. So he encouraged me to get through this and it’s wonderful to be here. Serena Williams helps with wedding planning for Venus Williams
Plans surrounding Venus' wedding have been kept private but the tennis star's younger sister, Serena, shared that she has been helping her older sister along the way.
"'Can you help me arrange this? Can you call?' " Serena said of her sister to PEOPLE. "I'm the person that gets things done."Serena shared that Venus had some complicated requests like over a dozen hairstyles as well as several dresses for her big day.
"She wanted me to help her with some dresses, or was it hairstyles?" Serena also recalled of the specific requests. "She wanted literally 14 hairstyles — and she was like, 'What do you think?' So she sent me her options and within 30 minutes I had them not only done, but in a PDF file, what hairstyle looked best on everyone."Serena got married to Alexis Ohanian in 2017, and they have two daughters: Alexis Olympia Ohanian and Adira River Ohanian.
