The evening of Saturday, May 31, was full of excitement and celebration for the Indiana Pacers as they beat the New York Knicks in Game 6 with a final score of 125-108. They will now be heading to the NBA Finals for the first time since 2000.
The face of the Pacers, Tyrese Haliburton, appeared ecstatic after the game, celebrating with his family, fellow teammates, and long-term girlfriend, Jade Jones.
Jones took to Instagram on Sunday, June 1, to express her excitement after the win.
“Go NY go NY go… Home!!! #YESCERSSS So proud of this team!!! 💛💛💛,” she wrote in the caption.
Jones shared a photo of herself posing on the court with Haliburton after the game. She was dressed in full Pacers’ swag, complete with a pair of jeans with Haliburton’s name embroidered on the side and a yellow hat with his face on it.
Jones and Haliburton met while attending Iowa State University and have been together for six years. Jones can often be spotted courtside cheering him on during games.
Following Saturday night’s name, Haliburton spoke out about what this win means to him.
“I can’t put into words how special this is,” said Haliburton. “We got to the same spot last year, fell short, and we just worked our tails off to get back here.”
The Pacers will be facing off against the Oklahoma City Thunder on Thursday, June 5.
