NBA reporter Taylor Rooks has tried to keep her personal life out of the spotlight. 

This week, she will be front and center covering the NBA Cup for Prime Video, and fans seem to adore the stunning sideline reporter. 

While we know that her fashion sense is on point, many people can't help but wonder what Rooks, 33, behind-the-camera life looks like.

Taylor Rooks is married. 

After months of keeping the relationship private, Rooks announced on July 24 that she quietly wed her partner, Shane Fowler, on July 19, 2025.

She waited until a week after the nuptials to share the news and shocked the world when she posted one of the best hard launches on Instagram. Prior to sharing the photos, the public was not aware of her relationship status with her now-husband, Fowler.

Back in March 2024, she briefly hinted at her relationship status during an interview with Angela Yee, revealing she was "spoken for," although she stopped short of spilling any details. 

After she tied the knot with Fowler, the NBA Cup reporter raved to "GQ" over how picture perfect her then husband was on their big day. 

"He is so perfect it's hard to believe he's real," Rooks told the outlet. "His vows moved the entire room to tears. I'm still replaying them over and over in my head," she added.  

Rooks also shared why it's so important for her to keep some things in her life under wraps. 

"I’m an incredibly private person because it’s important to have a life that belongs to you,” Rooks told the outlet. "Our relationship belongs to us. Our love belongs to us, so it’s only right that the moment belonged to us."

How did Taylor Rooks meet her husband? 

Rooks met while Fowler while he was in his final year of law school at Harvard. 

The relationship took a serious turn when Fowler created an elaborate scavenger hunt across New York City that ended in a proposal at the couple's favorite pizza joint, Fini.

Rooks and Fowler tied the knot with nearly 190 friends in attendance at Gotham Hall in midtown Manhattan. The NBA reporter was so intent on keeping the nuptials under wraps that she enforced a strict no-phones, no-posting rule for guests. 

Wearing a stunning Monique Lhuillier Isa wedding dress, Rooks walked down the aisle to the classic Stevie Wonder ballad "Ribbon in the Sky," and the couple had their first dance to "Nothing Even Matters" by Lauryn Hill. 

Afterward, they jetted off to Greece for a romantic honeymoon.
