Scottie Scheffler, though just 28 years old, is considered to be the most successful golfer in the world. He’s an unstoppable force on the PGA tour and recently came out victorious when competing in the Memorial Tournament on Sunday, June 1, in Dublin, Ireland.
While his incredible success is undeniable, Scheffler does not take all the credit for where he is today. After his win on Sunday, Scheffler was interviewed by CBS Sports’ Amanda Balionis about his wife, Meredith, and how much her support has meant to him in his career thus far.
Scheffler got emotional while discussing what impact his wife’s unfaltering support has had on his life.

“You’re really trying to make me emotional now,” Scheffler began with a laugh.
“Um, no, I mean my wife is my biggest supporter. She’s my best friend, and this is our life. I get on the road, and it’s been a lot of fun, and we’ve had some special memories this tournament. And uh, yeah. Definitely couldn’t do it without her,” he said.
Scheffler met his wife, Meredith Scudder, while they were still in high school. They attended the same school in Dallas, Texas, and have been together ever since. The pair tied the knot in December of 2020 and welcomed a son named Bennett in May of 2024.
