New Orleans Saints rookie quarterback Tyler Shough shared exciting news with his fans this week.
On Monday, Nov. 17, the 26-year-old NFL quarterback revealed that he and his wife, Jordan - a former Oregon women’s soccer player - are expecting their first child together. The couple, who married in April 2024, are expecting a baby boy in 2026.
“Oh baby! We’re having a baby!” The couple announced in a joint post shared to Instagram. “Baby boy Shough coming February 2026."
The post included a carousel of sweet photos, including one of Shough holding a sonogram picture in a field while wearing a white cable knit sweater and brown pants, as his wife stood beside him cradling her baby bump in a cream knit maxi dress.

Just when you thought the Saints’ season couldn’t get any wilder, the rookie quarterback could deliver a Mardi Gras baby to cap off the year.
Mardi Gras 2026, which is often celebrated heavily in the city of New Orleans for six weeks, kicks off on January 6 and ends on Fat Tuesday, February 17, 2026.
If the baby arrives on time, Shough could be welcoming his son right in the middle of his city's biggest celebration.

Drafted in the second round of the 2025 draft by the Saints, the NFL rookie battled his way up the depth chart before earning the QB1 role. He made his first career start in Week 9 against the Los Angeles Rams and followed it up the next week by leading the Saints to a 17-7 victory over the Carolina Panthers.
