More details have surfaced about Bill Belichick's relationship with Jordon Hudson following his viral 'CBS Mornings' interview.

The 73-year-old University of North Carolina football coach has explained that he has a working relationship with Hudson, 24, whom he also happens to be dating.

"Jordon and I have both a personal & professional relationship," Belichick wrote to UNC's Office of University Communications after the interview, according to new records obtained via a records request by WRAL. "This is not a secret. Jordon assists me with my personal media, which is why I asked UNC to forward media requests to her. Jordon has zero involvement in the UNC football program, beyond the degree that my personal media intersects with it."

The couple's relationship, which was already being scrutinized due to their 49-year age gap, gained widespread attention after the sit-down interview.

The taping was intended to focus on Belichick's new book, "The Art of Winning: Lessons from My Life in Football." However, it quickly went off the rails when reporter Tony Dokoupil began asking the former NFL coach questions about his girlfriend, Hudson.

From the sidelines, Hudson shut the line of questioning down, firmly telling the reporter, "We're not talking about this."

Prior to the interview, Belichick said that Hudson asked where she could sit "off camera."

"Secretly, CBS had a camera focused on Jordon where Lead producer Gabe instructed her to sit," Belichick later said.

After the taping, the Tarheels' Coach told UNC that the former Bridgewater State University cheerleader attended the CBS interview because his publicist, David Kass, was "not there."

He also revealed that CBS originally requested to conduct the interview at UNC, but he turned it down as his employer wasn't a part of his book.

Despite not being required to defend his relationship to anyone, Belichick appeared to attempt damage control in the leaked correspondence.

In one message, Belichick, along with UNC's PR team, attempted to smooth over the CBS interview after the taping aired.

"I don't want to make a wrong move here," the NFL coach allegedly wrote.

In May, Belichick released a lengthy statement defending his girlfriend's interjection during the taping.

"I agreed to speak with 'CBS Sunday Morning' to promote my new book, 'The Art of Winning: Lessons from My Life in Football.' Prior to this interview, I clearly communicated with my publicist at Simon & Schuster that any promotional interviews I participated in would agree to focus solely on the contents of the book," he wrote. Unfortunately, that expectation was not honored during the interview."

He also confirmed, after the taping, that he met Hudson on a flight to Palm Beach in 2021.
