No one messes with Klay Thompson's girlfriend, Megan Thee Stallion, on his watch.

Thompson's three-time Grammy-winning girlfriend was the topic of discussion during the Hoopin' N Hollerin' podcast, where the former NBA stars Jason Williams and Patrick Beverley blamed Megan for the Dallas Mavericks stars' current performance on the court this year.

“I’ve never seen Klay not shoot it like this,” Beverly said during the podcast episode that premiered on Nov. 11. “And for him to say, ‘I’m out of my prime’? C’mon Klay.”

He alluded to the relationship being a distraction in terms of balancing his on-court responsibilities and off-court activities. “His routine is thrown off. I’m not saying it’s her. I watch them on Instagram. The guy was juggling. It’s easy to juggle one thing, but when you put something else in there it’s harder, [your] focus takes off a lil bit.”

Williams agreed with Beverly's take adding, "I'm from West Virginia, man, I've been taught a lot from old folks, old white folks. It only takes one p**** to drag a battleship across the desert. That's how powerful it is.”

“Klay Thompson, I ain't sayin' that's what it is,” Williams said, “but that might be what it is.”

The clip has since gone viral, and Thompson commented on the Instagram Reel in defense of his girlfriend.

"Referring to my GF as a (expletive) is so disgusting and disturbing. Especially from someone who played in the NBA," Thompson wrote in a comment about the reel. "How would yall feel if I referred to your wives in such a way? @patbev21 Do better fellas. Very disappointing."

Megan has not reacted to the former NBA stars' comments.

While Megan is not to blame for Thompson's stats so far this season, where he is currently averaging a career-low 8.5 points per game on 32% shooting, including 28.9% from 3-point range, the four-time NBA champion has had a plethora of injuries, as well as is just aging, as some fans and analysts have indicated. This is Thompson's second year with the Mavs. He was traded in 2024 after signing a 3-year, $50 million contract to leave the Golden State Warriors for Dallas prior to the start of the 2024-25 NBA season.

As for Megan and Thompson's relationship, it's unclear when began dating, but they went public with their relationship in July. They have supported one another, including Megan cheering Thompson on at his games, and the Mavs star also accompanied her during her Pete & Thomas Foundation Gala over the summer.
