Detroit Lions quarterback Jared Goff has officially welcomed his first baby.

The 30-year-old NFL player and his wife, model Christen Harper Goff, 32, announced the birth of their daughter, Romy Isabelle Goff, on Instagram on Tuesday, July 15. 

The couple included a carousel of black-and-white photos capturing some of their newborn daughter's sweet first moments in the IG drop. 

"Romy Isabelle Goff 💌," the caption read. 

The first photo showed off the side of the precious newborn's face, while she was wrapped in a tiny blanket, holding her mother's hand. 

Another snap showed the Lions quarterback cradling his tiny daughter, who was tightly wrapped in a blanket with a bonnet on her head, while in the hospital. 

Jared is clearly excited about his entrance into fatherhood. 

In one of the images shared, he was already sporting a hat that read "Girl Dad." 

Christen appears to be equally as excited about becoming a first-time mom. 

"Heart is bursting into a million pieces!!!!" she wrote on her IG Stories shortly after the baby was born. 

Congratulatory messages pour in for Lions QB Jared Goff 

Following the birth announcement, several wives and girlfriends of other professional athletes shared congratulatory messages on Christen's social media post. 

Detroit Lions linebacker Malcolm Rodriguez's wife, Kennedy Frazier, was one of the first to drop a comment. 

"Angel girl 🫶🏼 so so happy for you guys and for girllllll season 🎀 love youuuu," Kennedy wrote.

LIV golfer Brooks Koepka's wife, Jena Sims, also dropped a message, writing, "Aw, I’ve been thinking of y'all! Go mama 😍." 

San Francisco 49ers running back Christian McCaffrey's wife, Olivia Culpo, posted, "Congratulations!!!!"

Former New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski's girlfriend, Camille Kostek, also penned a sweet message, writing, "my heart 🥹🫶🏼 I love you guys and baby romy 🎀."

Jared Goff and Christen Harper's relationship timeline

Jared met Christen on the Raya dating app in 2019. Three years later, in 2022, the NFL quarterback popped the question, and the couple announced their engagement. 

They officially tied the knot in a stunning ceremony in Southern California in June 2024, surrounded by family and friends. 

The pair shared their pregnancy news in February 2025, when Christen debuted a baby bump at the NFL Honors in New Orleans. She stunned on the red carpet in a figure-hugging brown, floor-length dress, cradling her belly in front of the cameras.
