Ciara has made a bold family move to honor New York Giants quarterback Russell Wilson

The Grammy-winning singer, 39, has legally added the NFL player's last name "Wilson" to her eldest son, Future Zahir.

Future Zahir, 11 - Ciara's son with rapper Future - had "Wilson" legally added to his name a few years ago, according to "TMZ."

The singer's nod to her husband, Wilson, is no disrespect to his birth father, as Future's legal surname still includes his dad's last name, Wilburn.

Speculation about the name change grew after Ciara and Wilson hit the US Open earlier this week with their kids. Wilson posted a family selfie from the stands, captioned, "Mrs. @ciara Wilson Future Wilson & Sienna Wilson," which fueld speculation about a legal adoption.

Wilson is frequently seen stepping up as a proud stepfather to Ciara's firstborn. After attending the US Open, the Giants star also shared a video of Future getting a giant-sized tennis ball autographed by tennis pro Novak Djokovic, 38, on Instagram

"NOVAK!!! Thanks for being the BEST! @djokernole We LOVED watching you train @USOpen up close! Future will remember this moment forever! Best Times Together," the NFL player captioned the post. Another moment caught Wilson and Djokovic embracing in a quick hug before the Serbian US Open star greeted Ciara.

Ciara's bold move highlights how she and the NFL quarterback have built as strong blended family.

Ciara and Wilson have been married for nine years. They met in 2014 and wed a year later.

The couple share three children together: Sienna Princess, Win Harrison, and Amora Princess.

While their family is already full of love, the couple have hinted that they may not be done expanding it.
