Alex Rodriguez is recalling his romance with actress Cameron Diaz.
The former couple dated between 2010 to 2011, and in a new interview, the former New York Yankees star confessed that their romance "a lot was going on."
“I feel like the World Series came and went,” Rodriguez said in episode 3 on HBO. “I was basically at the pinnacle of my baseball career. But there was a lot going on at the time.”
Following ARod's statement, photos of the former couple were shown across the screen.
After they split in 2011, Diaz spoke to Elle UK per People that year and disclosed that the couple was constantly on the move and that she was "living out of a suitcase." However, Diaz seemingly just wanted to move on from the romance.
“All I want for him is happiness. All he wants is my happiness,” she explained to the outlet at the time. “His isn’t reliant on me, and mine isn’t on him.”
As for the World Series champion, he described Diaz as “one of the greatest human beings [he’s] ever met and just an amazing light” to Page Six at the time.
Diaz has since married Benji Madden, and Rodriguez is dating Jaclyn Cordeiro.
While the docuseries briefly spoke about his relationship with Diaz, his romance with Jennifer Lopez was not addressed.
"In terms of his past relationships, we did refer to them visually in some of the sections about his crazy off-field life," director Gotham Chopra told The Hollywood Reporter, adding,"we had made a conscious effort to really focus on his baseball career — and specifically his PED use — and not necessarily to do the total biopic."
Lopez and Rodriguez began dating in 2017 and ended their engagement in 2021 after rumors began circulating that the former Yankees star had cheated on the singer with Southern Charm star Madison LeCroy. Following their split, ARod said he had "no regrets" with his relationship with Jenny From The Block.
"Look, we had a great time," he added during a July 13 episode of "The Martha Stewart Podcast." "More importantly, we always put the kids front and center in everything we do. Here's what I will tell you about Jennifer... She's the most talented human being I've ever been around."
As for JLo, she has been mum on the topic.
“You know, I really have nothing to say about my personal life anymore,” she said on Watch What Happens Life with Andy Cohen back in October.
“I feel like I’m done with that,” she added.
