Erin Andrews is football-ready and officially ready to enter her "pumpkin" era.
The sports commentator and television personality is entering the nation’s annual pumpkin conversation through the first-ever Glade Pumpkin Debate. Andrews, along with the company, has unveiled exclusive insights from its survey on how Americans really feel about fall’s hottest topic. Of course, we had to get in on the action as well, as we checked in with Andrews about the partnership, what she has going on this fall and what she’s looking forward to during football season, among other topics.
The iconic broadcaster even spoke a bit about her two-year-old, Mack, and the general plans she has this season with her family.

SN: Thanks for chatting with us, Erin! As we get into fall, what are you looking forward to the most in football and at home?
Andrews: I’m looking forward to seeing all the storylines that unfold during the season – weekend football is the best reality show there is! And I’m excited to keep making fall memories with my family.
SN: Are there any fall traditions at home? If so, what are they?
Andrews: Now that my son Mack is getting older and in school, we’re looking forward to starting new traditions! Fall sports are a big part of our home. The football season kicks off the “school year,” and both hockey and football take us through the holidays, so we have a great time celebrating the activities that mom and dad are so passionate about.
SN: Do you have any special fall plans or events you're particularly excited about?
Andrews: Pumpkin patches, spooky events, trick or treating, decorating for the season, and just cozying up in the chilly weather - we’re always so excited to start making fall plans!
SN: Tell me about your partnership with Glade. How did the partnership come about, and why Glade?
Andrews: I’ve seen how fired up people get about what they love, and I can understand how things like fragrance are personal. I also know how fast-paced life gets this time of year. Between work, travel, and nonstop games, it’s the little rituals — like switching up your home scent — that make the season feel special. My favorite Glade products instantly change the energy of a room and help create a vibe that feels thoughtful and seasonal.
That’s why I partnered with Glade to help bring the Pumpkin Debate to life and let people choose which fall scent is their favorite. It’s been really interesting to see which side people fall on as part of the debate - and to hear their hot takes on pumpkin spice! No matter your fragrance preference, Glade has a scent for everyone in the Fall Collection.
SN: Do you have any tips or tricks when setting the vibe at home (or even on the road for work)?
Andrews: I travel so much that I cherish small, cozy rituals—lighting a candle, reading, or watching a favorite fall show. And the Glade survey with Harris Poll found I’m not alone: 63 percent of fall readers love cinnamon, and fall movie/TV fans favor apple (63 percent) and cinnamon (67 percent) over pumpkin spice (55 percent). In my busiest season, the right scent helps me set the mood to relax and feel grounded, even while I’m traveling.
SN: What is your take on the Glade Pumpkin Debate? Do you agree with the results, or was there anything that surprised you the most?
Andrews: Two stats really stuck out to me. The first being that pumpkin spice isn’t actually the fan favorite; the Glade survey with Harris Poll found out that cinnamon (55 percent) and apple (49 percent) are America’s favorite fall home scents. I'm team Warm Apple & Spices from Glade myself because it makes me think of home and comfy cozy. It’s also a little bit of a preview to Christmas and the holidays, which I love.
The second stat was that consumers really can’t resist pumpkin spice. The Glade survey with Harris Poll found that even among those who dislike pumpkin spice, 64 percent still use fall scents at home, and 56 percent still buy fall products. I was honestly surprised to see how many people are still buying pumpkin products when they say they don’t even like them! But whether you love pumpkin spice or not, the Glade Fall Collection has a scent for you.
SN: When do you think fall decor and Pumpkin Spice should come back every year?
Andrews: July does seem a bit early to me, considering it’s still my off-season, but apparently, I’m in the minority for that opinion. According to the Glade survey with Harris Poll, 3-in-5 Americans say pumpkin spice product launches are perfectly timed, and two-thirds of Americans say they look forward to the release of fall-scented products each year. I think fragrance is personal, so if people want fall in July or August, then they can easily create that vibe in their home with the Glade Fall Collection.
