The Cleveland Cavaliers are teaming up with Wendy’s, the new presenting partner of the Cavaliers’ Cavalanche, to bring together a beloved treat and a fan-favorite Cavs moment. The Cavalanche, defined as a sudden, overwhelming rush of Cavs’ points during a game, was first introduced during the 2024-25 NBA season as a viral social media meme that quickly became an epic gameday experience at Rocket Arena.

The Cavalanche presented by Wendy’s will feature a special promotion where, anytime a Cavalanche occurs, fans in Northeast Ohio can receive a free small Frosty in-restaurant at participating Wendy’s locations, valid up to 24 hours after the game.

This partnership is all about blending the excitement of Cavaliers basketball with the deliciousness of the Wendy’s Frosty to create meaningful moments for our fans, both in-arena and at Wendy’s locations across Northeast Ohio.”

“Wendy’s and the Cavaliers have been a staple in the Northeast Ohio community for decades, so teaming up to create a new experience that celebrates our hometown pride is really special. We are incredibly excited about this new partnership,” added John Willse, Franchisee at Wenriver Mgt., Inc. “The Frosty has been an iconic menu item since it was founded in 1969 right here in Ohio, and we’re eager to share the joy of a free Frosty and home-state spirit for Ohio natives, one Cavalanche at a time.”

Throughout the 2025-26 season, the Cavs and Wendy’s will also bring the excitement to the community by hosting five ‘Cavalanche’ pop-ups in select areas around northeast Ohio. The pop-ups will include snow drops, Cavs entertainment teams and other surprise opportunities. To discover the locations of these iconic Cavalanche displays, fans can follow the Cavaliers on their official social media channels at XFacebook and Instagram.

Fans will also have the opportunity to earn Cavs Rewards points for purchases made at local Northeast Ohio Wendy’s locations. Fans can join Cavs Rewards through the Cavs mobile app or website, where they will be prompted to link an existing credit or debit card.
