Fans think Taylor Swift's $70 cardigan is an Easter egg for next music video image

Fans on social media are running wild with theories that Taylor Swift just dropped an Easter egg for her next music video. 

The speculation started circulating after Swift, the fiancee of Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, posted a cryptic clip of herself wearing her limited edition "Life of a Showgirl" cable-knit cardigan sweater on Thursday on her Instagram Stories. 

In the short clip, the "Karma" singer appears to be backstage somewhere working with producers and directors on a film project. Swift included the instrumental version of the song "Gorgeous" off her 2017 album "Reputation" on the post. 

She also included a link to the sparkly orange sweater she was wearing, which she's currently selling in a $70 box set on her website. The set includes the cardigan, featuring stars on the sleeves and "T.S." embroidered on the chest, along with the singer's "Life of a Showgirl" 12-track CD. The limited edition box set is available to order until Friday at 11:59 am or while supplies last.

After her post went live, Swifties quickly took to social media to try to figure out what the NFL WAG could be teasing, with many guessing that a new music video is in the works. 

"Music vid of the year is coming," one person commented on X.

"We’re getting a new music video directed by the one and only Taylor Swift. This is the serotonin boost I needed," another elated fan said. 

"Taylor Swift shares new video seemingly directing a music video for her new album ‘The Life of a Showgirl," someone else guessed.

"MUSIC VIDEO IS COMING," another hopeful Swiftie said. 

It's unclear if the singer's limited edition cardigan promo is simply merchandise marketing or a an Easter egg. However we're guessing Swift will continue dropping Easter eggs ahead of her album's October 3 release date.
