Jonathan Owens made a statement during last night's game, and we're not talking about on the field.

Prior to the start of the Chicago Bears game against the Washington Commanders on Monday (Oct. 13), Owens, who is married to Olympic gymnast Simone Biles, was turning heads with his tunnel outfit.

The Chicago safety wore a grey pinstriped matching suit -- minus the jacket -- and white tennis shoes. But that's not what got fans talking. The NFL star also tied a satin scarf around his head, which was a stark contrast to his melancholy outfit.

"Jonathan Owens, who is married to Simone Biles, pre-game. I don’t get this look. Do you?" one fan questioned with an attached photo of the athlete on X.

"i love you, but this is a no," one fan wrote in the comment section on his Instagram.

Another fan compared him to former NFL quarterback Cam Newton, who is known for his bizarre fashion takes: "Lmao this some shit cam newton would put on I’m screaming."

While others disliked his outfit and mocked him for it, others praised his fashion sense.

"The STYLE. Loving the looks and keep staying true to you!" one fan reacted.

One fan told NFL fans to just ignore him if they didn't have anything nice to say.

"If you don’t like, please keep scrolling. The main ones complaining aren’t even in this man’s tax bracket TF," the fan wrote.

Simone Biles roots for husband Jonathan Owens

While fans debated whether Owens' outfit was a fashion faux pas, Biles was present at the Bears and Washington Commanders game, cheering her husband on. The Bears won 25-24 over the Commanders, which earned the Windy City team their third win of the season.

Biles shared a video on her Instagram Stories on Monday where she cheered alongside her sister Adira for the Bears' last-second win. Bears' kicker Jake Moody was able to grab a win for the team when he hit a field goal as the clock was running. After the game-winning field goal, his team picked him up in celebration.

"It's a pretty cool series of events," Moody said per ESPN. "A couple days ago, I didn't know I was playing and to get lifted up by my teammates, it's an amazing feeling. I'm really glad I got to share that moment with them."
