Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue icon Christie Brinkley’s daughter, Sailor Brinkley Cook, stunned in her 2017 photo spread in the magazine that featured her mom on the cover eight times — including that year. Sailor’s half-sister, Alexa Ray Joel, also made an appearance.
In a throwback photo recently posted by the brand, she rocks a teeny black bikini made of strategically placed crocheted flowers. The designer of the stunning suit is Monica Hansen Beachwear.
“Sailor Brinkley Cook 2017: Turks & Caicos,” the brand captioned its Monday, October 27 share to X (formerly Twitter).
The accompanying photo gallery on Sports Illustrated Swimsuit showed that the tiny suit had a cheeky rear view, too. She also modeled a strappy bikini by Ola Vida, a cheeky and sophisticated one-piece, a pretty string bikini with a gold foil design, and a classic black bikini styled with a vibrant red flower in her hair.
Sailor’s half-sister, Alexa Ray Joel, made an appearance with both women rocking black bikinis while laying in a hammock on the beach. (Alexa’s dad is music legend Billy Joel, to whom Christie was married from 1985 to 1994.)
She wasn’t shown in this particular gallery, but Mom was there, too.

Sailor’s dad is architect Peter Cook, to whom Christie was married from 1996 to 2008. Her iconic mother graced the cover of the magazine in 1975, 1979, 1980, 1981, 2005, 2014, 2017 and 2024. She was the first model ever to appear on three consecutive covers.
