Before she was an A-list WAG to 49ers quarterback Christian McCaffrey, Olivia Culpo was a booked-and-blessed actress and model — and even landed the coveted cover of the iconic Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue.

The brand took to X (formerly Twitter) to share the cover photo in a fun, football season throwback. “Five years later, the Bali cover shoot with Kate Bock, Jasmine Sanders and Olivia Culpo still feels like swimsuit perfection,” the brand captioned the share.

Culpo, 33, became engaged to McCaffrey, 29, in April 2023. They married on June 29, 2024 and welcomed their first child, a daughter, in July; baby Colette attended her first game this week.

The social media share also linked to an article (with more photos) about the iconic cover. “Olivia Culpo touched down in Bali and completely owned her third photo shoot with SI Swimsuit, coming after her ‘In Her Own Words special feature in 2018 and her Australia shoot in 2019,” says the article in Sports Illustrated Swimsuit. It quotes Culpo — a former Miss Universe — as being “SO surprised” she landed the cover and admitting that she cried at the good news.

“Wearing only black and white swimsuits, cover girls Kate Love, Jasmine Sanders and Olivia Culpo served timeless sophistication in the exotic Bali,” writes the outlet. “Summer might be coming to an end soon, but beach trips are year-round.”
