V. Stiviano files police report after she says she was drugged in a Los Angeles bar

V. Stiviano, who became nationally known for her role in exposing former Los Angeles Clippers owner Donald Sterling in 2014, has filed a police report after a frightening incident she says left her injured and disoriented in Los Angeles.

According to a report first shared by TMZ, Stiviano — whose legal name is Maria Vanessea Perez — says the incident occurred on Wednesday, Jan. 7, after she spent a short amount of time at the bar inside the Ritz-Carlton in Marina del Rey. A representative for Stiviano told the outlet that she was there for roughly 30 minutes, visiting friends, before leaving for her car.

That’s when things took a sudden turn.

Stiviano says she blacked out while crossing the street and later regained consciousness lying on a roadway median. When she came to, she felt disoriented and described feeling “drunk,” despite not having consumed any alcohol, according to her manager. The representative also stated Stiviano did not drink water or any other beverages during her time at the bar.

She was later found to have bruising on her face, chipped teeth, and what were described as asphalt burns. Stiviano ultimately drove herself to a nearby hospital for treatment and then reported the incident to the hotel. She was informed by staff that no footage showing an attack or collision was captured on the hotel’s surveillance cameras.

Her manager said Stiviano believes she may have been targeted by someone at the bar and suspects she was either struck by a vehicle or assaulted by someone she never saw. Authorities are currently treating the matter as a possible hit-and-run and are actively investigating.

There was also initial confusion over whether Stiviano’s watch had been stolen. While she recalled leaving the hotel with it on her wrist, the watch was later found inside her vehicle.
