Shaun White's ex Nina Dobrev stole the show in Hervé Léger

Vintage fashion has been enjoying a major comeback on red carpets, and Nina Dobrev just added another standout moment to that growing list. The actress, who previously dated Olympic snowboarder Shaun White, turned heads in West Hollywood while attending a Golden Globes Nominees Night celebration.

The event, hosted jointly by Spotify and The Hollywood Reporter, brought together a mix of film, television, and music stars ahead of awards season. While the guest list was packed, Dobrev quickly became one of the evening’s most talked-about arrivals thanks to her archival fashion choice.

For the occasion, Dobrev stepped out in a striking black-and-white gown from Hervé Léger’s Fall/Winter 1997 couture collection. The off-the-shoulder design, balanced structure, and softness, featuring a fitted bodice crafted from white lace with dark floral detailing. A sheer overlay added dimension, while a sparkling drop-waist accent visually separated the top from the skirt below.

The lower half of the look contrasted sharply with the ornate bodice. A sleek, ankle-length black pencil skirt created a clean silhouette, grounding the dramatic top and giving the dress a timeless, streamlined finish. Dobrev completed the outfit with classic black leather pumps by Stuart Weitzman, keeping the focus squarely on the couture gown.

In a nod to the piece's original runway styling, Dobrev kept accessories minimal. She opted for diamond drop earrings and a single diamond ring, allowing the dress's detailing to take center stage. Her beauty look followed suit, with softly waved hair worn down and understated makeup featuring a neutral lip and subtle brows.

Beyond her fashion moment, Dobrev is also preparing for a busy year on screen. She is set to appear in the upcoming action thriller Bear Country, adding to a résumé that continues to expand beyond her television roots.
