Kendall Jenner finally addresses sexuality speculation: 'I have no problem being that'

Kendall Jenner is setting the record straight after years of online speculation about her sexuality, addressing the topic directly in a recent podcast appearance and pushing back on narratives she says have gone too far.

Speaking on the January 9 episode of Owen Thiele’s In Your Dreams podcast, the 30-year-old model and reality TV star acknowledged that rumors about her being a closeted lesbian have circulated for a long time. What bothers her most, she explained, isn’t the speculation itself but the tone surrounding it.

“There’s this whole side of the internet that thinks I’m a lesbian,” Jenner said. “You want to know what really bothers me? How mean people are about it. It’s not with a welcoming arm… It’s very mean.”

Jenner emphasized that she understands how complex and personal coming out can be, noting that the experience isn’t easy for many people. Still, she said she believes she would have already been open about it if that were her truth.

“I understand that coming out is not an easy thing for anybody,” she said. “But knowing myself, I think at this point in my life I’d be out if I was.”

She later added the line that quickly made headlines: “I’d have no problem being that.”

The conversation also touched on claims that Jenner might be hiding her sexuality to protect the Kardashian-Jenner brand, an idea she dismissed outright.

“I think that there’s this whole narrative that I’m hiding this thing,” she said. “I’ve seen really f—ked up things that are like, ‘It’s bad for business,’ and I’m like, ‘What? How?’ I don’t understand it.”

As of now, Jenner made her position clear. “All’s to say, as of today, I am not,” she said, while adding that she isn’t “closing doors to experiences in life.”

Jenner, who founded 818 Tequila, has had several high-profile relationships that kept her personal life in the public eye. She has previously dated NBA star Devin Booker and has been linked to other athletes and celebrities over the years, as well as to musicians and entertainers.
