Cardi B’s postgame victory lap after the New England Patriots’ divisional round win didn’t go unanswered — and the response came with a sense of humor.

According to The New York Post, ESPN NFL analyst Mina Kimes addressed the viral moment after Cardi publicly roasted the NFL Live panel for picking the Houston Texans to beat New England. Rather than bristle at the criticism, Kimes leaned into it. Sharing the clip on X, she wrote, “Getting dunked on by Cardi B… an honor and a privilege tbh.”

The comment quickly made the rounds online, signaling that Kimes was taking the moment in stride after being singled out — along with Hannah Storm, Ryan Clark, Dan Orlovsky, and Marcus Spears — in Cardi’s celebratory video. Storm was filling in for regular NFL Live host Laura Rutledge during the segment that sparked the exchange.
Kimes later added context in a reply to a fan who noted that New England had actually been favored heading into the game. “Yes lol,” she responded. “Our dumb asses all thought we were being clever,” referencing the group’s unanimous decision to back Houston.
The clapback followed a chaotic divisional round matchup in Foxborough, where the Patriots pulled away for a 28–16 win in difficult winter conditions. Texans quarterback C.J. Stroud struggled early, committing four turnovers in the first half, while New England consistently capitalized on short fields. Patriots rookie quarterback Drake Maye threw three touchdowns despite his own mistakes, doing enough to keep the offense moving.
After the final whistle, Cardi — who is dating Patriots wide receiver Stefon Diggs — reshared the original NFL Live clip and let loose. “What are y’all talking about? Nothing!” She shouted in the video. She later doubled down in a caption that read, “THEY DIDN’T BELIEVE IN US!!! I LIKE US!!!!! WE ALL WE GOT!!!!! WE ALL WE NEED!!!!”

Cardi did not attend the game in person, as she is currently rehearsing for her upcoming “Little Miss Drama Tour,” which launches next month. The rapper and Diggs, who made their relationship Instagram official last June, welcomed a son in November.
