On the season premiere of his We Got Time Today streaming talk show, Sanders offered a rare and candid glimpse into his personal life, crediting Tran with bringing positivity and balance into his world.

“Good woman, good person, has added so much to my life and my days and my moments,” Sanders said during the episode, which aired Thursday, Jan. 22. “And I’m smiling.” The 58-year-old coach made the comments while speaking with co-host Rocsi Diaz, framing his remarks as part of a broader reflection on how well his offseason has been going.
Sanders has plenty on his plate following the conclusion of his third season as head coach of the Colorado Buffaloes, which ended with a 3–9 record. Still, he sounded energized on the show, pointing to a busy transfer portal cycle and renewed optimism around the program’s future. “This offseason has been treating me really well,” Sanders said, adding that Colorado is “building something extraordinary.”
That upbeat tone extended beyond football. Sanders repeatedly emphasized that he’s feeling good physically and emotionally, noting that it’s been a while since he’s felt this level of overall contentment. While he didn’t dwell on details, his praise of Tran stood out as one of the most personal moments of the episode.

The couple has been linked since last summer, when Tran was spotted at Sanders’ hospital bedside as he recovered from surgery related to bladder cancer. Later in the fall, she again appeared by his side during another procedure, offering visible support as Sanders navigated ongoing health challenges.
