The Chicago Sky has a new sponsorship, and it just so happens to be a historic one.

Announced Thursday, the iconic beauty brand, is now the official cosmetics sponsor of the team, which will see two industry trailblazers uniting to empower self-expression and confidence both on and off the court. Covergirl has recently deepened its presence in the sports world through activations at major sporting events and social partnerships with leading female athletes, and, per the brand, this collaboration with the Sky is a natural next step to bridge the gap between sports and beauty and empowering athletes and fans alike.

Beginning May 15 and throughout the 2025 WNBA season, there will be exclusive Covergirl experiences, which will include interactive branded moments, product sampling and giveaways. "Covergirl is proud to join forces with the Chicago Sky, a WNBA team that represents strength, resilience, and the uplifting spirit of sport," said Stefano Curti, Coty Chief Brands Officer, Consumer Beauty in a statement. "We believe beauty is for everyone, everywhere—on the court, in the stands, and in everyday life. This partnership celebrates the power of showing up with confidence and the easy breezy joy that comes from being part of something bigger."

"This exciting partnership will help amplify Sky players' passion for beauty and self-expression while also celebrating our fans and community," added Alex Teodosi, Vice President of Corporate Partnerships.

What's more, the brand will also partner with the WNBA team on social content from Chicago Sky athletes, community outreach and their mascot, Skye The Lioness, highlighting their individual journeys and the role beauty plays in their lives.
