A'ja Wilson and Bam Adebayo have kept their relationship relatively low-key since they began dating in 2024, but on Thursday, January 8, in Chicago, the couple offered a rare public glimpse into their relationship.

With the Miami Heat in town to face the Chicago Bulls at the United Center, Wilson made the trip to support Adebayo from courtside—only for the spotlight to find them before the opening tip.
The matchup itself was delayed for an extended period due to unsafe playing conditions. Arena officials worked to address a slippery court surface, pushing back the start time and leaving players, coaches, and fans in a holding pattern.

While the delay caused frustration for some, Adebayo appeared unfazed. Cameras caught him and Wilson passing a basketball back and forth near the sideline, laughing and keeping things light as crews continued working on the floor.
Wilson, who is based in Las Vegas during the WNBA season, traveled more than 1,500 miles to be in the building. Her presence has become increasingly familiar to NBA fans, as she’s been spotted at several Heat games over the past year.
With the WNBA currently on hiatus, the four-time MVP has some flexibility in her schedule and has used it to show support for Adebayo when possible.

Eventually, the Heat and Bulls were expected to get the game underway once conditions were deemed safe. Miami entered the night looking to rebound from a lopsided loss earlier in the week, while Chicago aimed to capitalize on home-court advantage.
