The 2025 NCAA volleyball tournament is officially underway, and Nebraska has the biggest target on its back by far. The Huskers take on Long Island in the first round Friday.

The Big Red went a perfect 30-0 in the regular season, adding pressure to their undefeated campaign. Nebraska hasn't won a title since 2017, but can Harper Murray, Bergen Reilly and Andi Jackson lead the Huskers to a championship?

LIU punched its ticket to the tournament with a four-set win over Saint Francis in the Northeast Conference championship game. The Sharks wrapped up a 15-1 record in the NEC and claimed their 12th regular season title in program history.

Nebraska vs. Long Island volleyball start time

  • Date: Friday, Dec. 5
  • Time: 8 p.m. ET | 7 p.m. CT

First serve between Nebraska and Long Island will take place on Friday, Dec. 5, at 8 p.m. ET. The match will be played at the Bob Devaney Sports Center in Lincoln, Nebraska.

The winner moves on to face No. 8 seed San Diego or Kansas State on Saturday.
