Northwestern wasn't seeded in the NCAA field hockey bracket, but no one had any illusions about the Wildcats' abilities.

Sunday, the program will play for a national championship for the fifth consecutive year, facing No. 2 seed Princeton in the final.

The Wildcats knocked off top seed North Carolina in an overtime thriller in the semifinals, while the Tigers took out Ivy League rival Harvard to return to the championship for the first time since falling to UNC in 2019.

Will Northwestern claim its third national title in five years, or will Princeton claim its second overall and first since 2012?
