Who won Canelo Alvarez vs. Terence Crawford? Updated results for full 2025 boxing fight on Netflix image

Terence Crawford (42-0) looked dominant against Canelo Alvarez (63-3-2) at Allegiant Stadium, breaking down the Mexican warrior for twelve rounds to win undisputed super middleweight gold.

The judges scored the fight 116-112, 115-113, 115-113. The Sporting News scored it 118-110 in favor of Crawford. As a result, Crawford became undisputed in three weight classes.

In a fight of generational athletes, Crawford proved himself to be the best of his era.

The fight began with both fighters feeling each other out. Early on, Crawford utilized his jab to force Canelo back. He also forced Canelo to back up, especially after his eye was affected by those same jabs.

Canelo landed several big body shots. Against any other opponent, it would soften them up. Crawford showed no signs of slowing down as he pressed forward.

Round six was where Crawford proved to be on another level. He snapped Canelo’s head back with a big left hand. Smiling, Crawford smelled blood. “Bud” continued his attack and refused to back up in round seven, despite Canelo landing dangerous shots.

By round eight, Canelo was letting the fight get away from him. An accidental headbutt by Canelo in round nine did give him time to relax for a brief moment. That sense of nirvana didn’t last long, as Crawford landed combinations to the head. Canelo was starting to get frustrated as he couldn’t stop the jabs.

Canelo reached for shots while Crawford hurt him with more jabs. Still smiling, Crawford walked down Canelo until the final bell. It was a sight to behold for those who dreamed for this fight for years.

Per CompuBox, Crawford landed 165 of 442 shots (37%). Canelo landed 132 of 347 (38%). Crawford landed 129 head shots.

Canelo’s six-fight win streak has come to an end. Crawford remains unbeaten. It’s unknown what’s next for both men, as retirement has been on the table.

All eyes were on prospect Callum Walsh and Fernando Vargas Jr. of the legendary Vargas family. Both young guns had the honor of being in the co-main event. It was a learning experience for Walsh (15-0), who looked sharp despite there not being much action against Vargas (17-1).

What does the future hold for Walsh, now looking to advance further into his young career?

In an attempt to prove they should face the winner of the main event, Christian Mbilli and Lester Martinez went to war for the interim WBC super middleweight title. It was a Fight of the Year contender between Mbilli (29-0-1) and Martinez (19-0-1), both not backing down for ten rounds.

Over 600 combined strikes landed in the fight. In the end, the referees couldn’t decide who won, scoring it a split draw. Will there be a rematch?

The 21-year-old Mohammed Alakel looked sharp against Travis Crawford. The Saudi Arabian, one of many Ring prospects, won his fourth fight of 2025.

The Sporting News provided results from the entire Canelo-Crawford fight card.
