Glenville and Indian Valley are set to face off on Friday, Nov. 29, following Friday night's outcomes, with a berth in the state championship game at stake.
The teams that have dominated D-IV are set to face each other. Glenville secured state championships in both 2022 and 2023, while Indian Valley claimed the 2024 title.
One team will secure a spot in another state championship, but only one can advance. The other D-IV state semifinal matchup features Shelby facing Indian Hill.
On this side of the bracket, both Glenville and Indian Valley will believe they can secure an additional state championship for their trophy collections.

On Friday evening, the Tarblooders secured a 35-7 victory against Perry. Coached by Ted Ginn Sr., this team, known for Producing Division I prospects, consistently presents a tough challenge. They are aiming to recover from their elimination by Sandusky Perkins last year, prior to Indian Valley defeating Perkins in the state championship.
Indian Valley's football team boasts a 28-game winning streak, achieving a perfect 16-0 record last season and maintaining an undefeated 12-0 record this year. The team's success is largely due to star running back Grady Kinsey, who has recently set the OHSAA record for most career rushing touchdowns. This Air Force commit is a strong contender for Ohio's Mr. Football award.
The Shelby-Indian Hill semifinal features two unbeaten teams, as well.
Glenville is 10-3, having lost to larger-division powerhouses St. Edward, Avon and Hoban.
Friday night promises more fantastic games as Ohio enters its second-to-last week of high school football for the current season.
But it's hard to get one better on paper than Glenville and Indian Valley.
