The Fife Flyers have responded to claims made by released player Aiden Wilson, following his public allegations that the club failed to provide promised accommodation and fuel support.
Wilson said he had to sleep in his car before training and work night shifts to cover expenses, citing broken commitments in a post to his personal social media account.
The Flyers denied these claims, asserting they “fully met all contractual commitments made to Aiden, including fuel reimbursements.”
In their statement, the Flyers expressed disappointment that these concerns were shared publicly rather than being discussed directly with the club.
They added, “Out of respect for everyone involved, we won’t engage further on private matters, but we stand by the professionalism and integrity with which this situation was handled.”
The club explained that Wilson’s release was partly due to difficulties managing his commuting and outside work with team expectations.

Wilson, who transferred to the Flyers from NIHL side Romford Raiders, made 18 appearances before an injury earlier this season.
His departure has sparked debate about player welfare and contractual support in British ice hockey.
Fife moved quickly to reinforce their roster, signing Keegan Cairns on a two-way deal.
The club has since declined further comment, maintaining that all obligations to Wilson were fulfilled and that the matter is now closed.
