The women's singles draw for the 2025 Cincinnati Open has taken place, presenting a possible early contest between Britain's top two players.
British no. 1 Emma Raducanu could face compatriot and British no. 2 Katie Boulter in the second round of the upcoming WTA Masters 1000 event should results play out accordingly.
Raducanu is seeded for the event, meaning she gets a bye from the first round. However, Boulter is unseeded, meaning she is scheduled to play in the opening round against Olga Danilovic.
Should Boulter take care of business against her Serbian opponent on Thursday (August 7), she will set up an encounter with the 30th seed for this weekend in Cincinnati.
Despite Raducanu getting off to a solid start in the North American hard court season and being in better form than Boulter, the latter will fancy her chances if the two potentially meet in round two.
Boulter has won both of the matches between her and Raducanu, with the most recent of the victories occurring en route to defending her Nottingham Open title in 2024.

The two players get on well, having first competed alongside one another in the women's doubles event at the Queens Club Championships earlier this summer.

However, the winner of the potential all-British clash in round two could face a daunting challenge in the round that follows.
Top seed Aryna Sabalenka would be next up for one of the British pair, providing she comes through in her second round contest with the winner of the round one match between Marketa Vondrousova and Jaqueline Christian.
Raducanu will be hoping for a strong showing in Cincinnati to strengthen her chances of being seeded for the US Open later this month.
Boulter is coming off back-to-back opening round defeats in Washington and Toronto, so going on a good run in the Ohio city will be a priority.
