Emma Raducanu is out of the China Open, after failing to convert three match points to a win against Jessica Pegula.
The British number 1 took a comfortable 6-3 first set lead, before the American forced a second set tie-break.
Raducanu was leading 5-2 in the tie-break with three points for the match, but Pegula defended against them to force a deciding set.
And it was a shocking turn of events, as she bagelled the Brit 6-love to move into the final 16.
This was Raducanu's second match of the China Open. She received a bye in the first round, and won in straight sets to Cristina Bucsa on September 27.
The 2021 US Open champion has now faced back-to-back round of 32 exits, first in Korea and now China.
The only Brit standing in the tournament is 23-year-old Sonay Kartal.
The world ranked 81st breezed through in straight sets against Australia's Maya Joint to set up a meeting with World No.5 Mirra Andreeva in the last-16.
